You'll meet at first light, climb aboard an oversized wicker basket and float to wherever the wind takes you. The Great Dividing Range is slowly being lit by early morning sunlight, and you are floating hundreds of metres above the beautiful Lockyer Valley. Balloons Above will take you on this majestic adventure.

Balloons Above operates regular flights over the Lockyer Valley departing from Hattonvale, just a 45 minute drive east of Toowoomba.

Passengers meet in the early morning at the Fairway Tavern and Golf Club on Fairway Drive, Hattonvale. Depending on the season departure times can vary between 4:30am and 6:00am. You may need to set the alarm!

After a short information session, passengers are driven a short distance to the launch site where you can even help inflate the envelope (technical name for the balloon). You will then enjoy a flight in the oldest, successful human-carrying form of aircraft over one of the most productive farming regions in Australia.

While travelling, you'll be moving with the wind and therefore breezes are hardly felt, and you can enjoy a peaceful, calm ride in picturesque surrounds.

After the flight, you will be picked up by the 'chase crew' and returned to the Fairway Tavern for a well deserved breakfast. You will toast the flight with a traditional pink cloud (a champagne and juice drink) and be presented with a souvenir flight certificate.

Non-flying guests are welcome to participate in the chase and breakfast at $20.00 per person.
