Downlands College
Downlands College is a co-educational, Catholic day and boarding secondary school.When Downlands College was first opened in 1931, it was a boarding school for boys. The school was set up by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart a group of religious Brothers and Priests.
Set on 38 hectares of landscaped grounds in the northern side of Toowoomba, Downlands College is a scenic school with open spaces and great facilities. The school has an active sporting culture with the sporting facilities to match, including six sports fields, basketball and volleyball courts, six tennis courts, softball and hockey fields, two squash courts, gymnasium and swimming pool. The Arts are also a strong focus of the school. Students are encouraged to pursue music, art and drama, and the school has its own performing arts centre.
Downlands College encourages students to do their best and aim for greater things, as well as fostering a sense of confidence and pride.
