Concordia Lutheran College
Concordia Lutheran College is a coeducational day and boarding school.In January 2007, the Concordia Primary School, Martin Luther Primary School and Concordia College amalgamated to form the Concordia Lutheran College. The three campuses now provide full Prep to Year 12 education.
The primary school offers extracurricular activities including choral and speech choir, instrumental music tuition, chess club, community service projects, swimming, tennis, runners club and speech and drama.
The secondary school offers a full range of academic subjects as well as computer education, Independent Learning Centre, learner support program, life-skills education, outdoor education and vocational education.
History
Concordia College was established in 1946 after the purchase of the 'Redlands' building and the 25 acre property surrounding it. At this time the school was known as the Concordia Memorial College. Originally the school offered a 'lower extension' to their secondary program, although this wasn't a primary school, as such. In 1961, the Redeemer Parish investigated the option of opening a primary school separate from the College. The school began on the present site in Warwick Street in 1964 with 64 pupils.
